It's Ashley and Gelaine coming to you live after how many jdlsfjalsj months? 

Life update! We in fact finished our first half of our last year, next semester will lead onto graduation and then we are off into the 'real' world. But let's focus on the present shall we? In order to celebrate the end of our Fall semester, we decided to have a Girl's Night In and test out Innis & Gunn 4-Bottle Variety Pack Beer that we discovered when we ventured out to purchase some drinks.

  • Opaque & has the highest % of alcohol 
  • First impression: a Guinness type of flavour - definitely taste the alcohol
  • After taste: tastes like toasted brown sugar
  • Reminds us of: a lumberjack in the winter 
  • If you like dark beer, definitely give this a try
Rum Finish (6.8%)

  • Mahogany brown finish & has the second highest % of alcohol 
  • First impression: Pretty smooth and tolerable, lighter version of the bourbon flavour
  • After taste: tastes like Alexander Keith's amber ale - not too light, nor too dark
  • Reminds us of: chestnuts roasting on an open fire 
  • There's definitely a spice to it

  • Lightest colour & lowest % of alcohol 
  • First impression: Distinct flavour, not like other beers
  • After taste: tastes zesty once you drink it 
  • Reminds us of: of mistletoes, because you don't know what to expect
  • If you don't like beers that pack a punch, then this is not for you

  • same presentation as other beers
  • First impression: name speaks for itself, it's your typical beer 
  • After taste: like the first time you've had a beer --- just a tad smoother. 
  • Reminds us of: re-gifted gifts, yet you're too nice to decline it
  • If you want a safe start to 'beer drinking', I'd give this a go.
