A'S BEAUTYVIEW: QUENCH YOUR THIRST [CLINIQUE MOISTURE SURGE REVIEW]
3/03/2015
Ashley here, and as you can tell I revamped the blog, I'm posting, and I'm not making any promises I can't keep.
So let's get on with the review shall we?

In the month of December, I moved apartment units and from the ninth floor I went straight to the first floor which is much more colder. How cold? Cold enough to feel the windchill outside and it was all because of the fact that the heaters weren't working (they renovated the whole apartment and with the paint job they had to make sure it was well ventilated so they shut off the heaters and blah blah blah). So after constant bitching (by me) they finally fixed it. However, during this time, my skin did a whole 360 in the most horrid way as possible. Instead of becoming the oily mess that I already am, my skin became dry to the point where dry flakes and patches began to form on my face. No matter what kind of treatment I put towards it whether it be a moisturizing face mask, cleanser or a slab ton of cream—my skin would just suck it up forming such mishaps.
At the time I was using Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel for Oily to Combo Skin. I've used it for over half a year and it gets the job done for an oily skinned gal like me. It kept my oily face to a minimum and maintained some type of moisture barrier on my face before I apply my make. But the more I used it, the more I realized it wasn't doing anything to my skin during the winter season. The flakes and patches would still be evident and when it came to make up application, the foundation, concealer and powder did not sit well on my skin.
Your girl did some research and found so many great reviews on the Clinique Moisture Surge - Extended Thirs Relief Moisturizer for all skin types that she had to buy it.
THE RUNDOWN:
- Retails for about $44 CAN
- For all skin types (if you have super dry to combo skin, they have one suited for you)
- Allergy tested and 100% fragrance free
- Consistency is an oil free gel
- A rapid, long-lasting and fast-absorbing formula with active aloe and thus locks in moisture all day
- You can wear it under or over make up
- Helps skin better resist dehydration despite drastic shifts in humidity
THE VERDICT:
- It sticks true to its claims
- It soothes the skin in the process due to its aloe properties and leaves your skin feeling soft.
- I've used this for over four months straight and it's a permanent item in my skin care routine
- A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY GUYS SO EVEN IF IT SEEMS LIKE THERE'S NOT THAT MUCH CAUSE OF IT'S GEL CONSISTENCY IN THE CONTAINER - A LITTLE STILL GOES A LONG WAY.
- You honestly don't need a lot, just start with the top of the cap and work your way inwards.
- Worth the money seeing as right when I bought it, my dry patches and flakes disappeared to the point where i don't have my face peeling.
- I've recommended it to one of my best friends and she can vouch that she loves it.
- SO IT IS ASHLEY APPROVED! And I don't see winter leaving anytime soon, so for all my Canadian/winter babes, holla over at Clinique if you need a new moisturizer y'know?
xoxo until next time
